A doctor by profession based in Doha in Qatar, he balances his work with a regular painting sessions at his inhouse studio. Favourite mediums include pastel and oil paints as well as multi media usage.
Sreekumar Padmanabhan
Creating a world of realism he was appreciated for his craftsmanship in bringing to life characters in everyday situations.
Dr. Sreekumar comes from a family of artists including the renowned actress Mavelikkara Ponnamma and her daughter Sushama Padmanabhan, both of whom have been prominent artistes in Malayalam Cinema.
He took to painting at an early age. Heavily influenced by the realistic works of Raja Ravi Varma and the European painters of the romantic era, Sreekumar loved to fill his canvas with colour and imagination. His love for music and movies have also influenced his style and narrative.
